Common problems and solutions to make your job easier:

STAINS are eliminated and prevented with SwimSafe. We recommend starting the pool with the addition of Stain & Scale Sequester. This will help prevent stain from occurring because of metals in the source water.

CLOUDY WATER is prevented through synergy of our products working together. We recommend starting the pool at the beginning of the season with Water Enhancer. Nothing will give clarity and luxurious feel to pool water like this Boron based chemistry. However, with Water Enhancer there is not the need or cost of having to reduce the pH after the addition of the product. It works all season, keeping your customer happy and enjoying his pool and your service. On your regular service rounds when you have to balance the pool, use of pH Reducer and/or pH Booster will continue to help with water clarity because of special clarifiers and buffers we have in the product. And, of course, when fine particles fall in the pool and you need to flock them out you will have the best clarifier on the market to do the job. SwimSafe Clarifier works visibly faster and better than all others. It creates a denser grouping of particles so that they are more easily filtered out. They can also be easily vacuumed out in severe cases, when a super dose is needed and the pool filtration is shut down. Plus, super dosing will not create a cloud as may happen with other clarifiers.

FINISH DETERIORATION is a thing of the past when using SwimSafe chemistry. Improper balancing and use of harsh chemicals like muriatic acid when adjusting pH is the leading cause of finish deterioration. With pH Reducer and pH Booster, safer and non-corrosive water balancing is achieved. Buffers added to the products keep the pH correct longer and keep the pool finish in tact.

SCALING is caused by a number of factors such as high evaporation rates, high pH, high alkalinity, hot water and hard water. These problems are compounded when there is poor and infrequent cleaning and brushing of the pool surfaces since the scale is able to adhere to the surface and gets thicker and thicker.
To limit scaling, maintain the Saturation Index number as close to zero as possible. Where the above-mentioned conditions exist, use a Stain & Scale Sequester on a weekly basis. Test and balance the water often and regularly. Insure good cleaning of the surface and tile line with weekly brushing.

Since SwimSafe products are designed with synergy in mind, the regular and combined use of pH Reducer, Tile Cleaner, and Stain & Scale Sequester will mitigate the conditions that create scaling and eradicate this service problem.

POOL AND SPA water must be balanced at all times to help prevent scaling or corrosion of the pool finish and equipment. The pH is the most important factor followed by Total Alkalinity and Calcium Hardness. Proper pH is essential to keep the pool water properly balanced. Low total alkalinity is a large contributor to corrosive water because it makes the pH unstable. One of the causes of alkalinity depletion can be attributed to the high use of muriatic acid and sodium bisulfate to adjust pH. The use of SwimSafe pH Reducer not only lowers pH, but also adds non-carbonate buffers to the water, which in turn help maintain pH and Alkalinity. Service issues are minimized with the use of pH Reducer because the buffers in the product reduce the frequency on having to adjust for pH and Alkalinity. We recommend maintaining the Saturation Index number as close to zero as possible. A program based on SwimSafe chemistry will prevent finish deterioration in pools and spas, generate satisfaction from the customer, and limit problem pools for you.
