Using salt, a naturally occurring substance, and combining it with electrical current produced by a generator cell is quickly becoming the standard method of water sanitation in modern pool management. It is easy to see why salt pools are an increasingly popular choice for residential homes across the United States. Australia and Europe have been using them for years and know the joy of them and what must be done to care for them.
SwimSafe® products are designed to synergistically work with your salt pool. Importantly, the use of SwimSafe products helps protect your investment. Since the generation process requires that the pH continually be lowered to assure proper sanitation levels, it is most important how this is done. SwimSafe pH Reducer is the only product on the market that can lower your pH safely, effectively, and assure no deterioration on the metal plates of your generator. With consistent use of pH Reducer, you will have clearer water that requires less frequent balancing and extend the life of your generator and your pool finish.
Your salt pool is still subject to normal maintenance requirements. SwimSafe products are the natural and safe choice. Most of our products are made entirely from renewable resource materials, which are harmless to the environment, yet are extremely good at what they do in the pool water. SwimSafe products work synergistically with each other and your salt pool to assure you more enjoyable time spent with friends, family and the nature of your backyard.
Besides regular use of SwimSafe pH Reducer, we suggest starting your pool each season with Stain and Scale Sequester. This will insure against stains from metals and other inorganic matter. We also recommend adding SwimSafe Enhancer once per season. This will assure you sparkling clarity and a luxurious “feel” to your water. When your tile line needs cleaning, use SwimSafe Tile Cleaner. It will safely clean your tile line and not disrupt the balance of your pool water.
About four times each season, or as recommended by the manufacturer, the Salt Cell should be chemically cleaned of scale build up, which inhibits the proper generation of chlorine in the pool. Salt Generators work efficiently as long as the metal plates that pass the current remain clean. Even “self-cleaning” cells build up scale and are subject to corrosion. Simple turn off all the pool equipment, dismount the cell from the piping, and use Saline Cell Cleaner according to the directions on the bottle. Saline Cell Cleaner is the non-fuming way to dislodge any build ups inside the cell. After soaking for approximately twenty minutes, pour the dirty liquid down the sink, rinse the cell and re-install it. It is easy to do and insures a properly working Generator. This simple maintenance step and use of our non-corrosive Saline Cell Cleaner can extend the life of your generator by many years.
Enjoy your pool and backyard, have your water analyzed monthly during the season and use the synergy of all of the SwimSafe® products.
